On the Beach - Nevil Shute The story of a large world war that has spread radioactive fallout across the world and Australia as the last country unaffected. Although it was a bit dated, the most interesting reading for me was found in the day-to-day conversations. When you have a limited number of tomorrows do you stop planning or continue on in the hopes that the scientists were wrong? Humans seem to be programmed to always think about the tomorrow whether it is getting ready for holidays, birthdays or even little things like planning a garden. I didn't know myself what would happen until the very end.
